Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Part-Time (W2)
Location: San Leandro, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time, W2 Only
Pay Rate: $40.00–$45.00/hour
Schedule: 10–15 hours/week
Work Setting: Onsite Only
Requirements:
- Active California CLS License issued by CDPH – Laboratory Field Services (LFS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
- Completion of the California State Law Quiz on Laboratory Regulations
- No prior experience required
- 1+ year of CLS experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review CLIA-waived testing procedures
- Perform QC, instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Train and assess Medical Assistants and other staff performing waived testing
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CDPH, and laboratory quality standards
- Conduct onsite audits, workflow validations, and regulatory compliance reviews
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and quality records
