The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is seeking qualified, motivated candidates to join their maintenance teams. Our current vacancies are located at the ball fields and Dickerson Park Zoo. Schedules: Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday from 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. This position must have flexibility to accommodate special events and tournaments at Park facilities.
Caretakers are responsible for the daily care of their assigned park including mowing, edging, picking up trash, cleaning restrooms, maintaining play equipment, and monitoring grounds.

The Springfield-Greene County Park strives to provide the very best in parks and recreation facilities, programs, events, and services to our community. The Park Board includes 3,200 acres and 105 sites, ranging from neighborhood playgrounds to multi-use recreational facilities to natural resource areas. The system includes four golf courses, three family centers, a zoo, a farm park, botanical gardens, several sports and athletic complexes, two indoor aquatics centers, six outdoor swimming pools, multiple School-Park sites and more than 100 miles of recreational trails -- including 70 miles of Greenways.

Experience, Education, and Training
- One year of experience in general maintenance of commercial grounds.
PREFERRED
- Experience directly related to specific vacancy or assignment.
- Some agricultural or livestock experience.
Licensing/Certification
- Must obtain and maintain at minimum a valid class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the ability to operate a vehicle with airbrakes within the probationary period, for all assignments except the Dickerson Park Zoo.
- A pesticide applicator's license is preferred but not required.
Pay: $17.70 - $26.94 per hour
