Duties
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely and delicious service
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and safety standards
- Handle food safely, adhering to proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals and accommodating dietary restrictions
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Participate in catering events and food service activities, ensuring quality presentation and service excellence
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary or dietary aide roles preferred, with familiarity in menu planning and food preparation
- Hands-on kitchen experience in restaurants, catering, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques are a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Experience with cooking, food industry practices, or culinary roles will support success in this position
