Under the provider’s supervision and governed by policies/procedures as set forth by the MT Board of Medical Examiner’s, work collaboratively with providers and staff to provide patient care, treatment, and other clinical and administrative support as needed.
- Create a patient-friendly environment
- Prepare room, equipment, and supplies as directed by a procedure or patient needs for the day/before and after each patient
- Set up and prepare room for procedures: skin prep, punch biopsy, shave removal, curettage, injections, I&D’s, excisions, and repairs
- Escort patients to room and prepare patients for meeting with provider
- Interview patient and document history, review of systems and chief compliant
- Assist provider with procedures
- Assist with securing outbound referrals
- Assist front office staff with phones and appointment scheduling
- Clean and restock rooms with equipment as necessary
- Order supplies as necessary
- Maintain instruments: rinsing, scrubbing, lubricating, inspection
- Prepare instruments for autoclave: procedure packs and single instrument
- Prepare Injections: (IM) intramuscular, (IL) intralesional, and (Sub Q) subcutaneous
- Drawing up medications as needed
- Provide instructions to patients as directed by provider or as documented in policies and procedures.
- Help ensure patients are able to get medications: work with specialty pharmacies, patient assistance programs, and complete prior authorizations
- Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality
- Follows policies, procedures, and protocols; reports changes as needed

Experience:
- EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
