Seeking a Direct Support Professional for Young Man with Developmental Disability
You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability who is located in the city of Baldwinsville, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing tasks and activities such as assisting with independent living skills, providing advocacy, and attending community activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Candidate must also be able to transfer individual from his wheelchair to a chair and vice versa. Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate!
Hours: Monday through Friday 3pm to 6pm, Weekend Availability
Pay rate: $20/hour to start, additional $.67 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location: Baldwinsville, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.

Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
