We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Wastewater regulations and practices, with a focus on maintaining our wastewater system to keep our wastewater within permit levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the wastewater system procedures to ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and GLWA
- Conduct regular sampling and testing to ensure wastewater is operating within our permit levels
-Ensures all federal, state and local wastewater and enviromental systems are compliant
-Ensures that the wastewater system is maintained and clean
-Ensures monitoring systems are accurate and calibrated
-Will respond to any wastewater alerts to be sure it stays compliant
-Performs First Responder duties during emergencies.
-Complies with all company policies and procedures, and assists the laboratory when not doing wastewater tasks
-Ensures all hazardous waste generated by the wastewater system is properly managed and sent out
- Investigate wastewater alerts to be able to respond with knowledge in the case of out of specification events
- Work safely and quickly in the event of emergencies or wastewater events
**Requirements:**
- High school Diploma or G.E.D.
- Certification in wastewater handling preferred
- Knowledge of wastewater technology and principles
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
Experience
-2years experience in a related field perferred .

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday (some Saturdays may be required based on need)
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
