Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and surgical supplies according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures by handing instruments, managing suction, and maintaining a clear operative field.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation by recording vital signs, medical history, and procedural details in electronic medical records (EMR systems)
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times.
- Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization devices with precision and safety.
- Manage patient care by providing pre-operative instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment.
- Follow dental sterilization procedures diligently to prevent infection transmission and uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
