Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced, skilled Painter to join our team. YOU MUST HAVE A VEHICLE FOR THIS POSITION. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of painting and construction practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and may be involved in renovation, restoration, and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and brush/roller methods
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Estimate materials needed for each job and manage inventory effectively
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion
- Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as required
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites
Skills
- Proficient in residential and commercial painting techniques
- Strong knowledge of color theory and construction estimating
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and industrial painting equipment
- Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry, and renovation processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform basic math calculations
- Experience in frame carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and maintenance person tasks
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
