We are seeking a Cultivation Sanitation Technician to join our cannabis cultivation team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized cultivation facility to support healthy plant production and ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a spotless work environment, enjoys hands-on physical work, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a commercial cultivation facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily janitorial and sanitation tasks throughout the cultivation facility, including flower rooms, hallways, work areas, and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize barrels, totes, carts, racks, tools, equipment, and other cultivation infrastructure.
- Deep clean cultivation rooms between harvest cycles, including floors, walls, drains, surfaces, and irrigation components.
- Remove and properly dispose of plant waste and other facility waste in accordance with company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist with room resets by preparing cultivation spaces for the next production cycle.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain sanitation stations throughout the facility.
- Support cultivation staff with general facility organization and cleanliness.
- Follow all SOPs, sanitation protocols, PPE requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Report facility or equipment issues to management and complete required cleaning logs and documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, warehouse, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience in cannabis cultivation, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
- Ability to work independently while managing daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Comfortable following detailed procedures and compliance requirements.
- Must speak Spanish.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor in warm, humid cultivation environments.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working on ladders up to 12–18 feet.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals while using appropriate PPE.
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check (required for cannabis employment).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable transportation to commute to Phoenix, AZ 85017.
