Overview
We are actively seeking a Maintenance Technician for a direct hire, full time position near Waverly, IA. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manual equipment, CNC equipment, plant systems, and production machinery.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot manual and CNC equipment to identify problems and perform repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment according to work order instructions
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair work on plant equipment and CNC equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motor controls on 3-phase equipment and control circuits
- Troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions and mechanical problems
- Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair work
- Design and implement controls for new or refurbished projects
- Support updates to equipment procedures when changes are implemented
- Repair equipment by removing defective parts, replacing parts, and testing completed repairs
- Identify parts needed for repairs and obtain quotes for purchases
- Relocate machinery as needed
- Repair plant units, including heating, cooling, and test equipment
- Maintain clean and safe work areas according to housekeeping requirements
Job Requirements
- 2–4 years of vocational training or 6+ years of experience in a related maintenance field
- Experience troubleshooting manual equipment and CNC equipment
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of programmable logic controls
- Experience performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on plant equipment
- Experience working with 240V–480V electrical systems
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting motor controls on 3-phase equipment and control circuits
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Experience maintaining records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
Preferred Skills
- Prior manufacturing maintenance experience
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Experience repairing CNC machine malfunctions and mechanical issues
- Experience designing and implementing controls for new or refurbished projects
- Experience identifying repair parts and obtaining quotes for part purchases
- Experience relocating machinery
- Experience repairing heating, cooling, and test equipment
