Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
- Work directly with children to provide individualized attention, mentoring, and support tailored to their unique learning styles and needs.
- Facilitate activities that promote literacy education, numeracy skills, and social interaction among students.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare instructional materials and proofread educational resources for accuracy and clarity.
- Supervise children during transitions, recess, lunch, and special activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and grade levels as needed, demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or autism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with Montessori or private school settings is a plus but not required.
