Summary: Fountaingate Fellowship Church is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Teacher’s Assistant to support our Mothers Day Out (MDO) program. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are passionate about helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Description: A Mothers Day Out childcare teacher's assistant helps with the daily care and education of children, assisting the lead teacher in creating a fun and engaging learning environment. They may help with meal preparation, diaper changes, writing daily reports, and supervising children during playtime or rest time. Additionally, they assist with lesson planning, implementing activities, and maintaining a safe and clean classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision Monitor children during playtime, meals, and rest time to ensure safety and well-being.
- Childcare Support Assist with personal care routines such as diapering, feeding, and dressing.
- Activity Assistance Help with lesson planning, material preparation, and the implementation of ageappropriate activities.
- Engagement Actively engage with children through play, conversation, and guided learning activities.
- Classroom Maintenance Support the upkeep of a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Documentation Help maintain records including attendance, incident reports, and developmental progress.
- Communication Communicate positively and effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members. Additional Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Childcare Director.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (infants to preschool age) preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills .
- Must be dependable, patient, and nurturing
- Must be able to pass a background check
