Full Charge Bookkeeper - Onsite
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities. This individual will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, financial reporting, and month-end close. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-entity bookkeeping experience and advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple companies/entities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and apply customer payments
- Perform commercial collections and maintain AR aging
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Complete month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Maintain intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Process payroll or coordinate payroll with an outside provider
- Prepare sales tax filings and assist with year-end tax documentation
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and special accounting projects
- Partner with outside CPA firm during financial statement preparation and tax filings
- Ensure accurate financial records while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Multi-entity accounting experience required
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise required
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, construction, or professional services environments
- Experience supporting external accountants with year-end close and tax preparation
