Join the Christenson Transportation Team!
Christenson Transportation Inc. is seeking a trailer mechanic. Seeking a self-motivated individual to oversee the maintenance of all trailer repairs at the Strafford, MO yard. This position will be responsible for repairing all trailers that come to the yard and working with the Maintenance Department on scheduling any outside needed repairs.
Duties
- Perform trailer repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Complete DOT inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair:
Brake systems
Air lines and air systems
Trailer tracking systems
Lighting and electrical wiring
Minor trailer body repairs
- Prepare new trucks for service by installing all required equipment and accessories.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete repair documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Mechanical experience with commercial trucks and trailers preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in an outdoor environment with varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
