We are an established, multi-location hospitality company seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions.
Reporting directly to the COO/CFO, the Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting controls, managing the accounting team, and providing management with the financial information needed to effectively operate the business.
We are looking for a hands-on financial leader who understands both accounting and operations and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple operating entities and locations
- Manage the monthly close process and preparation of timely, accurate financial statements
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash management
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports
- Analyze actual results versus budget and identify significant variances
- Monitor key operating metrics including labor, food costs, purchasing, and other major expense categories
- Maintain accurate balance sheets and supporting schedules
- Oversee and develop accounting department personnel
- Coordinate with outside CPAs, tax professionals, banks, insurance providers, and other financial partners
- Assist the COO/CFO with cash-flow planning, capital expenditures, financial analysis, and special projects
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, reporting, controls, and operating efficiencies
- Provide senior management with clear, actionable financial information to support better business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with multi-location or multi-entity accounting strongly preferred
- Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other multi-unit operating experience highly preferred
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the numbers and understands the business behind them. The successful candidate will be comfortable digging into the details when necessary while also providing the COO/CFO and senior management with a clear picture of company performance.
This is a senior financial position with direct access to company leadership and significant responsibility within a well-established organization.
Compensation
Base Salary: $120,000-$140,000
Plus performance-based bonus and benefits. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
