Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant – Shine Behavioral (Arlington, TX)
We are an open-minded, enthusiastic, and forward thinking leading multi-disciplinary company specializing in the treatment of children with Autism, as well as a variety of other developmental delays and diagnosis. We are looking for an energetic and passionate part-time or full-time COTA to join our leading and rapidly growing Center with a full gym and multiple OT offices. As a member of our team, the COTA will implement activities under the direction of our OTR that will help individuals work on ADLs, fine motor skills and sensory processing within the limits of their mental and physical disabilities. You collaborate with the full clinic provider team to create, develop, and implement individual and/or group therapy goals for each child.
As part of the position, the COTA responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Provide direct treatment to children with ASD that attend the center as well as work with patients with other OT needs based on availability.
- Follow treatment plans relevant to each individual's realistic rehabilitative needs.
- Complete and maintain necessary records and documentation.
- Participate in team meetings to review progress on goals
- Confer with parents / caregivers on a regular basis (both verbal and written) regarding progress of each individual child and to instruct them on strategies that are effective.
- Assist with the completion of daily session notes, progress monitoring and updated progress reports as needed.
- Conduct 1:1 and group therapy sessions if/when clinically indicated.
- Provide therapy at the center multiple times per week per child as needed on an individual basis.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure full integration with other Shine services.
- Attend staff meetings as directed.
- Support our private elementary Academy for OT services.
- Participate in parent trainings as applicable.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associates and applicable certification and/or licensure are required.
- Must possess a License in the state of Texas.
- Two years of experience working with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental delays preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Kareo a plus and must be easily able to adapt to new software.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, presentation, problem solving, and multitasking skills are required.

Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
