Position Summary:
The lab coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of our busy on-site laboratory. Lab coordinator will adhere to practice and regulatory guidelines ensuring practices and procedures are appropriate.
Responsibilities:-
Collection of patient blood, urine and swab specimens to be analyzed and results accurately recorded in the electronic medical record.

Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.

Documents patient testing logs using established medical record forms.

Complete all laboratory compliance checklists, paperwork, and ensure lab is operating within federal and state guidelines governing all sites that test specimens.

Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, quality control documentation and other pertinent information.

Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Position Requirements:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to be resourceful and maintain professionalism in stressful environments.
Previous experience in a patient centered laboratory environment.
Licensing/Certification:-
Active South Carolina MLT, LPN, RN, or CMA with at least two years' experience working in a medical office setting.

Previous lab experience is required with pediatric experience preferred.

We have five locations throughout Anderson and Greenville County. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, we are focused on improving the health of our communities.
