Job Summary
Cambria Hotel Madison East is seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, safety, and facility operations. The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring our property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained while providing an exceptional experience for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and experience managing hotel maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel maintenance and engineering operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and building systems.
- Perform and supervise repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and assist with budget planning.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
- Ensure the property meets Choice Hotels brand standards.
- Train and supervise maintenance team members as needed.
- Support hotel operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
