Position: Assistant Supervisor/Caregiver IDD Respite
Program: Amarillo, Texas – IDD (Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities) Respite
Salary: $18.50/hr.-$20.83/hr.
Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language

Performs direct care duties for clients in the Respite facility

Maintains a regularly scheduled direct-care shift while assisting with the daily operation of the Respite facility

Assists with inventory management, supply ordering, activity planning, and maintaining a safe and organized environment

Assists with monitoring compliance with health, safety, and program requirements

Provides leadership and support to direct care staff during assigned shifts

Assists with staff training, orientation, and ongoing development

Supports scheduling, documentation review, and other administrative duties as assigned

Serves as acting supervisor in the absence of the Supervisor

Collaborates with the Supervisor to ensure quality services and continuity of care for individuals receiving respite services

Participates in on-call rotation

Will work in the Diversion Program, as needed

Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

High school diploma or GED
-
One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test

Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
