Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Soldering & Assembly Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll perform circuit board repair, fine soldering, and electronics assembly on automotive components. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on electronics repair experience who takes pride in accuracy and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automotive electronic circuit boards and components.
- Perform precision soldering on both surface-mount and through-hole components (down to 0603 size).
- Assemble, clean, and test repaired units to meet strict quality standards.
- Use hand tools, soldering irons, multimeters, and testing equipment.
- Document repair steps and results in Zendesk or similar systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workbench and shop area.
- Occasionally assist customers with part drop-offs or pickups.
- Perform additional repair or assembly duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in electronics soldering, circuit board repair, or electronic assembly.
- Strong fine motor skills and excellent eyesight for small-part precision work.
- Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation.
- Familiar with hand tools, soldering stations, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Comfortable using basic computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, email).
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Automotive electronics background or familiarity with instrument cluster repair.
- Experience in surface-mount rework or PCB troubleshooting.
- Prior use of ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceDesk, etc.) for workflow tracking.
