Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests or customers
- Buss tables and clear dining areas efficiently to maintain a tidy environment for guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, safely practicing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Support front-of-house staff with in-person customer service, including answering questions and providing a welcoming atmosphere
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required, ensuring accuracy in transactions
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices consistently throughout shifts
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with kitchen operations such as cooking, food preparation, and banquet service is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Previous hotel or guest services experience can be beneficial but is not required
- Enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork
