The Probate Division of the 31st Judicial Circuit in Greene County is currently seeking a dependable, highly motivated individual to join their team. The successful applicant will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the division and must possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This position requires working both in the Probate Office and the Probate courtroom, making flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities essential. Primary responsibilities include processing guardianship and conservatorship cases, providing courtroom support, processing required reports, and maintaining frequent professional interaction with the public, court personnel, attorneys, and partner agencies.

- Maintain a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail when performing data entry, case
processing, and record management
- Effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining composure
and a high standard of service
- Exercise sound independent judgment in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Appropriately safeguard sensitive, confidential, and restricted information in accordance with court policies,
procedures, and applicable requirements
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure compliance with deadlines and time standard
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to individual responsibilities, teamwork, and the overall operational
needs of the Probate Division and Judicial Circuit
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in both verbal and written interactions
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Duties and Requirements Include, But Not Limited To:
- Initiate, process, maintain, and update Probate cases, including guardianships and conservatorships, in
accordance with applicable statutes, court rules, established procedures, and judicial orders
- Reviews legal documents for necessary information required for filing; determines processing required and
takes necessary action in accordance with court rules and procedures
- Manage and maintain case calendars, including scheduling, monitoring deadlines, and coordinating court
hearings and other case-related activities
- Provides direct administrative support in both the courtroom and office
- Answers court related inquiries by phone, email, and in person without giving legal advice
- Actively participate in training and cross training
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of assigned job duties, processes, and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned or when required

Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning and two years of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties.
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
All potential candidates must authorize and successfully pass a national criminal background check as a condition of employment.
