Concrete Finisher

Position Summary
Little Mountain Builders is seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our growing construction team. The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, repairing, and maintaining concrete surfaces for residential, commercial, and site development projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship while maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, place, spread, level, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, sidewalks, driveways, patios, curbs, retaining walls, and other concrete structures.
- Set and align concrete forms according to project specifications and construction plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes.
- Operate hand and power tools including screeds, bull floats, trowels, edgers, power trowels, concrete saws, and vibratory equipment.
- Apply a variety of concrete finishes including broom, smooth, stamped, and decorative finishes as required.
- Cut expansion and control joints to minimize cracking.
- Repair and restore damaged concrete surfaces.
- Monitor curing processes and ensure proper protection of finished concrete.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, superintendents, carpenters, equipment operators, and other construction personnel.
- Perform additional construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
- Experience in residential and commercial construction is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and repair techniques.
- Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction work on active job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with decorative concrete finishes and stamped concrete.
- Familiarity with laser levels and grade control systems.
- Ability to operate skid steers, compact equipment, or other construction machinery is a plus.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
