Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Hazmat Tanker Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials using specialized tanker trucks across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, route planning, and handling of hazardous cargo will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including tanker trucks following all federal and state regulations.
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
- Load and unload hazardous materials safely according to DOT and EPA standards.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using electric pallet jack, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent accidents during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify potential issues and ensure vehicle safety.
- Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders as needed during incidents or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for tankers and hazmat transportation.
- Two+ years experience in truck driving experience with tractor-trailers or freight vehicles.
- Hazmat experience
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to hazardous materials handling and transportation regulations.
- Ability to load & unload cargo using electric pallet jack efficiently and safely.
- Strong route driving skills with a focus on punctuality and safety compliance.
- Physical ability to perform load securement tasks, including lifting heavy items when necessary.

Pay: $1,800.00 - $3,500.00 per week
