The Employment and Training Association is seeking a full-time Case Manager for a challenging and rewarding position based out of the Sauk County Job Center in Baraboo, WI. The Case Manager identifies and recruits individuals for programming, reviews applicants eligibility for services, collects and evaluates documentation, assesses applicants for their work interests and employment skills and helps individuals create a plan to meet their employment and training objectives. The Case Manager helps with the development of resumes, cover letters, works with participants to identify employment opportunities, refers participants to training opportunities.
The Case Manager conducts individualized appointments to meet with participants, maintains regular contact with individuals needing employment search and training assistance, and completes appropriate paperwork and data entry for training requests and supportive services.
This position requires strong communication, organization, and computer skills; requires the ability to multi-task and the ability to follow data entry procedures to document enrollment, case management and follow-up activities.
A strong candidate for this opportunity will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
This position supports a diverse population, including individuals affected by layoffs, job seekers ages 55–65 and others facing barriers to employment. The successful candidate must be adaptable and able to work across two similar employment programs, adjusting priorities and responsibilities as needed.
This position requires the ability to work an occasional evening and will require traveling within the district. Employees are reimbursed for authorized travel at the current federal mileage reimbursement rate.
A strong candidate for this position will possess knowledge of local hiring trends and will have experience building relationships with employers and other service providers in the region to promote job placement and training opportunities.
The starting wage for this position is $22.00 to $23.00 per hour.
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Strong computer and clerical skills including a familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Google Docs
Bi-lingual English/Spanish candidates preferred, but not required.
A Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
Access to a reliable vehicle and the ability and willingness to travel throughout the region
Proof of vehicle insurance
