We are seeking a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This role supports outside sales, service, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience—from initial consultation through delivery. Position Summary
The Inside Sales Support Specialist serves as a key contact for customers and internal teams. You will support sales representatives with quoting, order entry, product information, project coordination, and communication. A customer‑first mindset and strong attention to detail are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Support
- Act as the primary internal support contact for assigned sales staff and customer accounts
- Respond promptly to inquiries about products, pricing, lead times, and order status
- Provide proactive communication regarding updates, delays, or additional required information
- Assist walk‑in customers and showroom visitors when needed
Quoting & Order Processing
- Read and interpret blueprints to prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and submittals
- Assist with window and door takeoffs and technical documentation
- Enter sales orders with a high degree of accuracy
- Work with vendors to confirm pricing, specifications, availability, and delivery schedules
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to support timely deliveries and project milestones
- Track orders from placement through shipment and installation
- Help resolve backorders, delays, discrepancies, or service concerns
- Maintain organized project files, documentation, and communications
Team Collaboration
- Partner daily with the Salesperson to align on customer needs and priorities
- Communicate with service and operations teams for smooth project handoffs
- Participate in product and system training to build technical knowledge
Qualifications
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, construction supply, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
- Experience with windows, doors, millwork, or building materials
- Familiarity with premium window and door manufacturers (Marvin, Pella, Andersen, Kolbe, Loewen, Weather Shield, etc.)
- Understanding of construction terminology and the ability to read plans
