The Center Monitor ensures the safety and welfare of clients by making rounds across the facility and completing monitoring as assigned. Center Monitors will act as mentors/role-models and assist with training and supporting employees. They will interact with staff to ensure staff are alert and conducting client care in a professional, caring and compassionate manner. Complete and distribute appropriate documentation. Ensure there is adequate coverage for the facility. Maintain high visibility in the homes and work/activity areas of clients and staff. Provide direction, instruction, support and assistance to ensure client care is completed in a caring and compassionate manner. They will take immediate action regarding any issue found and review/report all incidents on the facility. Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Facility Director’s Office and/or the AOD on reporting incidents.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to meet criminal background and drug screening standards
