Sanitation Operator
The sanitation operator engages in general and specialized cleaning and sanitation activities in food processing areas, assists with other duties as needed, and supports general GMP compliance of the facility.
Responsibilities
· Adhere to all company food safety and personnel safety procedures.
· Understand and follow procedures as trained to ensure consistent results.
· Conduct routine activities according to a defined schedule. Conduct basic cleaning activities.
· Learn and apply specialized cleaning techniques including various floor cleaning machines, foam cleaner application, dry ice machine use, and steam cleaning.
· Communicate with and work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance departments.
· Work with a high level of independence and proactively assist with identifying cleaning needs in the facility.
· Properly handle chemicals and operate equipment as instructed.
· Maintain clear, accurate records of cleaning activities per recordkeeping best practices.
Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks
What You Will Need
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
- Understanding of sanitation fundamentals, including chemical handling best practices and avoiding cross-contamination.
- Must be comfortable with heights. Required to use a “man lift” for cleaning high areas.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and records.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures as trained.
- Ability to work as a team and communicate in an effective manner.
- Must be available to work a full-time schedule including overtime, typically Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
What Will Put You Ahead

- 3 years of relevant experience
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to stand, squat, and walk for long periods of time to perform tasks. The ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
This role is based in a production environment, which includes both indoor and outdoor settings. Environmental conditions may vary, with some areas experiencing cool or warm temperatures and varying levels of humidity. The schedule includes modified hours that overlap day and night shifts, with daily overtime and occasional weekend work as needed.
