Patient Access and Consultation CoordinatorPosition Summary
The Patient Access and Consultation Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for prospective and existing patients. The coordinator answers inquiries, provides basic approved information about our treatments, collects required patient information and records, and schedules consultation appointments.

Job Responsibilities
- Answers calls and inquiries from patients, caregivers and referring providers.
- Provides basic, approved information about our treatments and the consultation process.
- Schedules, confirms, reschedules and cancels appointments.
- Collects patient demographic information and the reason for seeking treatment.
- Explains consultation fees, payment options and general office policies.
- Requests required ophthalmology reports and medical records before the consultation.
- Uploads and organizes patient documents in the electronic health record.
- Documents patient communications and follow-up activities.
- Follows up with prospective patients and assists them with scheduling.
- Escalates clinical questions to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Follows communication protocols, privacy policies and HIPAA requirements.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
