Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Position Summary
THRYVE Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility. The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure high-quality resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, support nursing staff, and drive positive clinical outcomes. This role is ideal for a strong nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations
Support and supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care
Monitor clinical performance, quality measures, and regulatory compliance
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and staff development initiatives
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
Conduct rounds and address resident, family, and staff concerns
Support survey readiness and assist during state and federal surveys
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to facility policies
Assist with infection prevention, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with EMR systems preferred
