About the Role
Defender Construction is hiring a Site Work Foreman to lead crews on excavation and installation of underground sanitary, water, and storm installation projects across Central Ohio. You'll be the primary link between the field, the Superintendent, and opperations responsible for keeping crews safe, productive, and on schedule.
Job Requirements
- Uphold quality of utilities installed per plan
- Direct and oversee daily crew operations
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and mentor crew members
- Coordinate material deliveries and track inventory
- Maintain accurate records of hours, materials, and project status
- Troubleshoot site issues and collaborate with management on solutions
- Run briefings on work progress and upcoming tasks

Required Qualifications
- Proven foreman/supervisory experience in excavation or site work
- Strong knowledge of underground utility construction
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specs
- Understanding of GPS and laser-guided layout systems
- Familiarity with construction software for daily reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with subdivision underground utility installation is a plus.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
