Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and pizza cutters efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or variations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting, preferably with pizza preparation.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures in the culinary field.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control in food presentation and taste.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Passion for the food industry with an eagerness to learn new techniques and recipes in catering or culinary arts.
