- PAY: $70-85/hour (based upon experience)
- PER DIEM: $90/day for days worked (if outside 60 miles from job site)
- HOURS: Shifts will be 8-10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (50-60 hours/week)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced OFCI Material & Equipment Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, logistics, and execution of our Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) electrical and mechanical equipment program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring long-lead equipment and materials are delivered, tracked, and turned over efficiently to installation contractors while keeping complex construction projects on schedule.
The ideal candidate has astrong background in electrical construction, procurement coordination, logistics, and project management with experience supporting large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Develop, implement, and improve OFCI material management programs for electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate program funding needs, including staffing, logistics, storage facilities, transportation, and specialized services.
- Build standardized OFCI processes that can be implemented across multiple project locations.
Planning & Project Coordination
- Maintain project material inventory trackers, manufacturing schedules, delivery timelines, and equipment turnover schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to verify equipment specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Work closely with procurement to optimize sourcing based on lead times, quality, and cost.
- Align deliveries with construction schedules and site readiness.
- Participate in weekly project meetings and provide updates on schedule, material readiness, and project risks.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment manufacturers and vendors.
- Monitor manufacturing progress, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), shipping schedules, and delivery commitments.
- Identify and mitigate vendor delays, production issues, documentation deficiencies, and shipping risks.
- Coordinate warranty requirements and preventative maintenance programs necessary to preserve manufacturer warranties.
Logistics & Material Management
- Coordinate inbound deliveries with warehouse and site logistics teams.
- Plan equipment storage, laydown areas, routing, and handling requirements.
- Verify all deliveries include required documentation, labeling, packing lists, and damage inspections.
- Manage the internal material requisition process and equipment turnover to installation contractors.
- Track long-lead equipment including:
- Switchgear
- Transformers
- UPS Systems
- Generators
- PDUs
- Electrical Panels
- Mechanical Equipment
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Maintain delivery records, FAT documentation, Certificates of Compliance, O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation.
- Track NCRs, punch list items, corrective actions, and warranty claims.
- Coordinate manufacturer support for defective equipment during turnover.
Installation Support
- Coordinate with field engineers, superintendents, and contractors to ensure materials are available and staged for installation.
- Provide technical documentation, installation requirements, and manufacturer guidance.
- Manage equipment testing programs, including NETA testing documentation and tracking.
- Ensure contractor compliance with manufacturer installation and warranty requirements.
Commissioning & Turnover
- Support commissioning teams with required documentation, testing records, and vendor information.
- Coordinate vendor participation during startup, energization, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure successful turnover of OFCI equipment to construction teams.
Risk Management
- Identify schedule risks involving procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and field readiness.
- Develop recovery plans for vendor delays and long-lead equipment challenges.
- Monitor project cost impacts related to OFCI equipment and material damage.
Required Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (Required)
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, material management, procurement, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction systems and power distribution equipment.
- Experience managing long-lead equipment on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or data center construction projects.
- Experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, vendors, contractors, and field operations.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and material tracking or inventory management software.
