The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various automotive systems. Candidate must be able to professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, particularly powertrain and transmission systems, while delivering excellent customer experience. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in vehicle repairs and maintenance. Treating every vehicle as if it was your own.
Duties
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs, with focus on powertrain and transmission systems.
- Utilize hand tools and welding equipment if necessary to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnose engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical system concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
- Keep management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
- Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair.
- Familiarity with powertrain systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to the automotive industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude.
- Reliable - punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A valid PA safety inspection and emissions license is preferred but not required.
