This individual will target sales and business development by conducting competitive market analysis, development, capture strategies, and preparing winning proposals. The individual must also keep informed of developments in the local, state, and national transportation and freight forwarding markets as they apply to the strategic business growth plan; maintain key marketing sales contacts with both civilian and business personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business, conduct a-minimum of 3-5 sales presentations per day by physical visits to customer locations.
· Meet and exceed sales numbers and margins within the territory
· Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
· Following up on leads and conducting research to identity potential prospects.
· Providing guidance on price competitiveness.
· Preparing and analyzing data to build a sales pipeline.
· Participating in trade shows, training, or meetings when necessary.
· Great customer service. Must maintain friendly and professional appearance and attitude.
· Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
· Emphasize the Company’s service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit process.
· Send weekly activity reports to the Vice President and General Manager
· Review all weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
· Coordinate and interact with the operations team in Honolulu and all partnering neighbor island trucking companies. Ensure all customer needs are communicated to maximize freight opportunities.
· Develop a weekly sales schedule as well as an After-Action Report.
· Other duties, as assigned.

Experience:
· A minimum of 2 years of sales & business development experience, in a fast-paced transportation & freight forwarding company.
· Strong written and verbal communication.
· Strong time management & organizational skills, able to multitask.
