We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and structural components. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with construction painting standards.
- Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray equipment, to apply coatings efficiently and evenly.
- Mix paints, primers, powders, and other materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper consistency and color matching through visual color comparison.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools for fabrication, assembly, or repair tasks related to coating applications.
- Handle materials safely by following PPE protocols such as respirators, respirator masks, and other respiratory protection measures during application processes like powder coating or industrial painting.
- Interpret production documents and work orders to determine coating specifications, application procedures, and quality standards in manufacturing environments.
- Operate forklifts and cranes for materials handling and transportation within warehouse or manufacturing settings.
- Maintain a clean work area by following safety protocol adherence while using personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, and eye protection.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness, surface finish quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Support safety initiatives by adhering to construction painting surface preparation standards and ensuring compliance with safety protocols during all tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting or coating applications within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Familiarity with powder coating processes, auto body repair techniques, auto painting procedures, or construction painting surface preparation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of coating materials such as paints, primers, powders, and finishes along with experience operating spray guns (airless or conventional) is essential.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, or fabrication instructions accurately.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, machining tools, cranes or forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use—respirators, respiratory protection—and adherence to safety standards during all operations.
- Basic math skills for mixing materials accurately and performing measurements required for quality control purposes.
- Previous exposure to lean manufacturing principles or warehouse experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
