Washler Garbage & Recycling is looking for a friendly and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team in Garrett, IN! Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries regarding garbage and recycling services
- Process new service requests, account changes, and service cancellations
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule and coordinate pickups, route changes, and special collection requests
- Maintain accurate customer account records and data entry in company systems
- Communicate service updates, billing information, and recycling guidelines to customers
- Collaborate with drivers and operations staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
- Prior customer service, call center, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry
- Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Patient, empathetic, and solutions-oriented demeanor
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in waste management, utilities, or a service-based industry is a plus
