Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling to meet each pet’s specific needs and owner preferences
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
- Assess each dog’s coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, providing recommendations for ongoing pet care or veterinary referral if needed
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, sterilizing tools and equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests, provide updates on pet health or behavior, and offer pet care advice
- Assist with dog handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment that minimizes stress for the animals
- Eligible for bonuses and daily tips
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet grooming is required; certification in pet grooming or related animal handling skills is a plus
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Familiarity with pet grooming tools, pet care products
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and ensure a positive experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting large dogs and performing detailed grooming work
