What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate items returned from customers. Determine the cause of deficiency and report it to that department
- Fill out Corrective Action Report(s) and the CAR Tracker when required that will be forwarded to some or all of the following people / departments:
- The Customer
- The Salesman for that Customer
- The Customer Service representative for the Customer
- The Department Supervisor where deficiency occurred
- The Branch Managers
- Track all customer returns on the Continuous Improvement Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will be distributed to the Department Supervisors and Branch Managers
- Evaluate all internal errors/ part deficiencies. Errors/ deficiencies found on parts and or processes done in house prior to shipment of order to customer
- Track all items found on #4 on the Continuous Improvement spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will be distributed to the Department Supervisors and Branch Managers
- Perform lead and final inspections on items as required for hose assembly items, kits, and bulk distribution orders. Tube and Weld items may be added in the future. Tube and Weld items are currently handled by the Tube and Weld department
- Inspect incoming items from Wilco Mfg., vendors for T.A.W. items specially made for large customers (such as NPK butt weld ends), import adapter shipments, and items from non-approved vendors where required
- Perform dimensional inspections for parts and or assemblies where required
- Perform testing on new C.M.S items or hose assembly configurations. This may include pressure testing, impulse testing, etc
- Do final inspections on completed items manufactured by C.M.S. such as bent hose ends and adapter shapes
- Monitor Calibration System for calipers, thread ring and plug gauges, etc. Responsible for keeping items current. Check items to ensure they are calibrated correctly. Keep track on Calibration Report
- Conduct mini-internal audits of the following to ensure records are being Completed and are up to date
- Approved Vendor Database
- Individual training records and departmental training matrix(s)
- Preventative maintenance spreadsheet and machine tags
- Spot checking work in process paperwork for sign offs
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliability & Consistency - This role depends on showing up, doing repetitive tasks accurately, and maintaining steady output without sacrificing quality
- Must have mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- The job may involve standing, lifting and moving materials throughout a shift
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Must be comfortable using computers
- Great tenure at prior roles
