WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
As an Extrusion Saw Operator at Schupan, you will play a direct role in keeping our production operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for accurately cutting, sorting, and distributing material to support on-time order fulfillment - as part of a team that takes pride in both quality and safety.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Operate extrusion saw equipment to cut material according to production schedules and work orders
- Read customer orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine what needs to be moved or distributed
- Assemble and stage customer orders; place on pallets, shelves, or route to packing station
- Mark materials with accurate identifying information and retrieve items from receiving or production areas
- Sort and store materials by size, type, style, color, or product code
- Safely load and unload in restricted spaces
- Apply basic math skills - tape measure, calipers, decimals, fractions - to ensure accurate cuts
- Use feeler gauges to properly square blocks
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Basic requirements:
- 3-6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training
- Forklift experience preferred; willingness to become certified required
- Basic computer skills
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout a full shift
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. routinely; occasionally 50+ lbs.
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
- Pay: $18-$24/hr with overtime and bonuses available (safety/attendance, end-of-year, monthly gas)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM; OT and Saturdays as required
- Weekly pay
