Taking the Lead is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our equine assisted therapy team at our beautiful farm in northern Baltimore County.
At Taking the Lead, therapy happens beyond the clinic walls. Our therapists work alongside specially trained horses to help children and individuals with diverse abilities build strength, confidence, communication, regulation, independence, and joy.

What You’ll Do
- Provide or support occupational therapy sessions in a dynamic farm setting
- Incorporate hippotherapy and equine movement into individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with therapists, volunteers, families, and support staff
- Help create engaging, meaningful, and relationship based therapeutic experiences
- Build strong connections with clients and celebrate milestones big and small
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Passion for working with children and families
- Positive, adaptable, and team oriented mindset
- Interest in hippotherapy, equine assisted services, pediatrics, or sensory based therapy
- Comfortable working outdoors and around animals

Schedule
We are looking for someone to work on Thursday evenings and Saturdays. More hours are possible for someone who would like to do part-time administrative work.
