Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Motorized Shade & Awning Installer to join our team as a contractor. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining motorized shades and awnings across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help enhance outdoor living spaces, improve energy efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative shading solutions while developing your skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
Pay is $800 a week for training and then increased once you go on your own.
Responsibilities
- Install motorized shades, awnings, window treatments, pergolas, and related hardware according to detailed contracts and manufacturer specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble and mount shading systems securely on various surfaces
- Read and interpret contracts and technical instructions to ensure precise installation
- Perform shade installation, fixture mounting, basic electrical work, stucco work, wood work as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Apply caulking, construction painting, metal stud framing, and other finishing techniques to ensure a polished appearance
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using drills, saws, ladders, and other tools - Must have tools
- Collaborate with clients and team members to troubleshoot issues on-site and adapt installations for unique space requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating to accurately assess project scope and materials needed
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in custom installations
- Strong background in construction and carpentry
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution
- Skilled in construction site experience with safety awareness and proper handling of heavy materials
- Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics related to shading systems and electrical components
- Experience with remodeling projects involving metal stud framing, drywall finishing, painting, and handyman tasks
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for project planning and resource management
