Overview
Reu Café is a Guatemalan café serving specialty coffee, traditional Guatemalan food, and a welcoming experience for our community. We’re looking for friendly and reliable Front of House Team Members to join our team. This role includes providing excellent customer service, preparing drinks, serving food, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment. Ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, making coffee, and thriving in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using Square POS
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
- Deliver food and drinks to tables promptly
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness in the front of house area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure efficient service
Skills
- Previous experience in customer service, barista, or restaurant work preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when necessary
Must be available on weekends.
