Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their dining experience and promote beverage sales.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing payments and handling cash safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Develop new beverage recipes and experiment with craft beer pairings or cocktail creations to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware; communicate needs for restocking or ordering supplies promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or hospitality industry background.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and cashiering is essential.
- Extensive cocktail experience with skills in mixology, beverage recipe development, and spirits knowledge.
- Familiarity with wine service, craft beer varieties, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods; strong organizational skills are a must.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math related to inventory control.
