The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests during banquets, private events, and Club functions. This role requires a service-oriented professional who anticipates guest needs and delivers prompt, attentive service before, during, and after events. The Banquet Server is also responsible for proper set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of banquet spaces.
Perform all banquet setup tasks, including arranging, setting, and breaking down tables and event spaces.
Provide immediate and courteous attention to members and guests before, during, and after events.
Take cocktail orders and serve food and beverages in designated areas according to Club standards and protocols.
Pour and replenish wine, coffee, water, and other beverages as needed.
Clear and remove soiled dishes, glassware, and service items promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas in banquet rooms, dining spaces, and kitchen areas.
Communicate member or guest concerns to a supervisor immediately.
Assist with closing duties, including removing linens, bussing tables, polishing serviceware, and resetting rooms as required.
Previous experience in a full-service, upscale restaurant, resort, hotel, or country club environment preferred.
Strong ability to adapt to changing situations and event demands.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to perform continuous standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive use of hands and arms.
Open availability required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and Friday–Sunday shifts.
Minimum of one year of banquet service experience in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or country club.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
Dependable transportation required.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
