Program Dates: June 22 – July 31, 2026 (Monday – Friday)
Hours: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM
Compensation: $200/day
About Us:
Comprehensive Learning Services, a comprehensive child therapy center on Chicago’s South Side, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Summer Enrichment Teacher to lead engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our Kindergarten and 1st grade students during our 2026 Summer Enrichment Program.
Position Overview:
The Summer Teacher will implement a structured, yet fun curriculum that supports academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood learning, differentiation, and hands-on, interactive instruction in a small-group setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in literacy, math, and enrichment subjects.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning needs and styles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Integrate play-based and hands-on learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching summer experience for all students.
- Maintain classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and engagement.
- Communicate with families as needed to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required (Education or related field).
- Degree in Education (Special Education, LBS1, Early Childhood, Elementary, or related field preferred).
- Teaching experience required (preferably with early elementary students).
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.
- Passion for early childhood education and fostering student confidence.
