Job Summary
We are a start-up offering instructor lead training over the Internet seeking safety instructors who have the flexibility to teach training sessions as more clients are acquired.
The Safety Trainer/Instructor will be responsible for leading online safety training courses primarily in construction, but also in general industry and oil & gas. Courses include:
- PPE
- Confined Space
- Excavation Safety
- Fall Protection
- Hazard Communications
- Flagger Safety
- Respiratory Protection
Primary Job Function
- Manage your availability to train
- Start and conduct training seasons online using meeting software like Microsoft Teams or Zoom
- Follow a training presentation
- Provide attendees with your knowledge and experience throughout the course
- Encourage attendee participation and answer any questions
- Assess attendee comprehension and manage the class dynamic such that attendees effectively learn more about the subject
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in construction, general industry or oil & gas where at least 50% of the job duties were managing HSE/safety requirements
- Experience either conducting safety training classes or a desire to start training
- Basic use of a computer and browser technologies
Education/Training
- Minimum high school graduate
- Computer skills using a browser and meeting software like Microsoft Teams preferred (PowerPoint experience is not required)
- OSHA 10, 30 or 500 preferred
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to work as an hourly 1099 contractor
- Must own a computer and have Internet connectivity capable of streaming online video
- Must have a location that can be kept quiet where training sessions can be conducted
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
