Varsity Campus is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our campus facilities. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for performing both routine and specialized maintenance tasks across the campus.
Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve any maintenance issues promptly.- Repairing and replacing faulty equipment, fixtures, or parts as necessary.
- Painting, drywall patching, and general repairs to walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, ensuring proper functioning of drains, fixtures, and water supply.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including lights, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing common areas and amenities.
Addressing maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.- Diagnosing issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Responding to emergency maintenance calls outside of regular working hours when necessary.
Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify areas for preventive maintenance.- Performing preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery, changing filters, and testing safety devices.
- Creating and maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintaining an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.- Ordering and restocking necessary supplies as required.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition and complying with safety regulations.
Communicating and collaborating with other departments to address maintenance-related issues and concerns.- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of campus events as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
