Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutritional care, develop personalized care plans, and support patient health outcomes across various settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. This role requires a strong foundation in dietetics, physiology, and patient assessment, with a focus on delivering evidence-based nutrition interventions to diverse patient populations.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide specialized nutrition counseling, including weight management, disease-specific diets, and long-term care strategies.
- Manage tube feeding protocols and oversee nutritional support for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Evaluate diagnostic tests related to nutrition and physiology to inform treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate dietary recommendations into overall patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans accordingly, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and communication of patient information.
- Supervise dietary staff and oversee dietary department operations as needed.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics such as weight loss, geriatrics, and acute care nutrition needs.
- Stay current with advancements in dietetics, hospital protocols, and clinical guidelines to ensure best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietetics within hospital or long-term care environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Experience supervising staff and managing care plans effectively.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Expertise in tube feeding management and acute care nutritional support.
- Familiarity with health coaching techniques tailored to geriatrics, weight loss, and chronic disease management.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop comprehensive care strategies.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
