Southern is looking for an energetic, friendly person to join our sales force at our 6000 sqft store and nursery. We are looking for someone to provide excellent customer service, operate cash registers, display merchandise both inside and out, and maintain a clean shopping experience for all our customers! This job does require both inside and outside retail assistance.
- Prior customer service experience
- Welcome customers and answer questions regarding products and services
- Operate cash registers to complete customer transactions
- Help unload plant trucks
- Help maintain nursery
- Display merchandise both inside and outside
- Help make bows seasonally (willing to train)
- Help maintain a clean shopping experience both inside and outside
- Help customers make buying decisions
- Assist in the receiving of new merchandise and prepare for the selling floor and nursery
- Assist in filling customer orders
- Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and in a friendly manner when dealing with customers and team members
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Have basic math and reading skills
- Attention to detail
- Adhere to company policies
- Available for varied weekly shifts including Saturdays
- Ability to lift 30 to 40 pounds. Standing and walking will constitute as 100% of your work shift. Must be able to constantly bend, lift, reach, pull, and maneuver merchandise. Must be able to retrieve overhead items from a ladder.
- Looking for someone to work 3-4 days a week. Open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 to 4:00 p.m.
